When you don't have Internet
access, Ibis has two
tools for you: (1) The
Ibis Kitchen Table Calculator is designed to
run in MS Excel. It is fast, light, accurate and
contains everything you need for pre-counseling
proposals.
- The Estimates page is a side-by-side
comparison of three HECM plans that you choose.
Show your client why your LIBOR+275 handily beats
your competitors LIBOR+300. Or the importance of
your reduced loan origination fee.
- The Amortization Schedule allows you to enter
multiple draws, change interest rates, change home
appreciation, and instantly flick thru and compare the
three plans.
- The Amortization Chart allows you to do
the same in graphical form. To really accentuate the
plan differences, you can freeze the maximum value
on the Y-axis.
- On the TALC page you can also flick between
the plans and see the various costs. Raise the initial
LIBOR rate and see how it stacks up against a fixed-rate
HECM.
- The Print page allows you to select what
pages and how many copies you wish to print.
- Finally there is a California AB 329 disclosure.
On January 1, 2010, these must be given to clients by
lenders before the client goes to counseling.
- If you have a User ID
supplied by Ibis, click here RMO_QQ.exe to
download the kitchen table calculator.
(2) Ibis also has a website for
iPhone, BlackBerry and other
smart phones.
http://bit.ly/VlqPv is one link to the mobile calculator.
With a few inputs you can see a summary table and then a
full side-by-side estimates page on your phone.
Licensees tell us what two programs, margins/rates,
service fees, loan fees, etc. to use for their version.
